Hello Reader!

I am so glad that I was able to join Neocities! I am really excited for this experience and I can’t wait to meet new people! Neocities is such a fun site to browse on and I can’t wait to spend even more time here!

About My Site

I am well aware that my site isn’t very retro! I wanted to build a site that contained all the elements I wanted before I made it all fun and fancy. Hopefully, I will be able to make it feel more Y2K in the coming weeks. If you have any tips or ideas for me, please E-Mail me! You can find my contact page in the navigation menu that lists all my goodies!

I made my site using Astro, Alpine.js, and a bit of htmx (I think)! I am not that talented of a JavaScripter, so using some libraries to make things easier was a necessity. This is especially true when it comes to the blog, search function, and multilingual features. Thank goodness for the hundreds of Stack Overflow questions I read that solved my exact problem. Keep questioning, folks! If you have any ideas for things my site is missing, please let me know!

About the Author

I already wrote a bit about myself in the about section, but I’d figure I should go deeper in depth here about politics. I am a raging leftist. There will definitely be a lot of political posts incoming, so don’t like? Don’t read. I also definitely will make a masterlist of other neocitizens’ posts that I feel are definitely worth a read and discussion. I would love to hear your thoughts on my posts, so shoot me an E-Mail!

Policies & Plans

All of my posts are CC BY-NC-SA licensed. That means if you distribute or build upon my works, you must attribute me and share your remixed work under the same terms. Also, my work is for non-commercial purposes only. Despite sounding scary, if you are unsure about whether or not your remixed work follows these stipulations, just shoot me an E-Mail! I promise I’m not scary!

I make blinkies very occasionally as well! If you want to use my blinkies, you can easily attribute me by wrapping them in an <a> element or use the title attribute:

<a src="https://aristocratic-arietta.neocities.org/" target="_blank">
    <img src="..." alt="..." title="Blinkie by AristocraticArietta">
</a>

You don’t have to write text anywhere! Just use the title element on the img tag and hover over the element! Magic! Or you could, y’know, click the link.

If you use any of my writings, just make sure to include a link back to my homepage somewhere!

Here are some plans for the website, kind of a to-do list:

  1. Retro-ify!
  2. Comment section/guestbook
  3. Write some more stuff (in other languages!)
  4. More translations!

That’s all she wrote folks!
