My Code/Artwork Usage Terms

Hello!

I write my own code and design the artwork on this site, except where otherwise noted. I am no expert by any means when it comes to either, but I have been slowly getting better. I love the indie web, and a big part of this community is helping other people design their own websites. Thus, I am happy to help newbies coding their own websites. Don't be afraid to reach out via E-Mail and ask questions! I promise I don't bite, and I really do want to help.

If you see something interesting on this site, go ahead and press F12 or Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) + Shift + I to open the developer tools panel. You can also right click on an interesting element and click Inspect in the menu that pops up to open the panel to that element exactly.

Want to use my code/artwork on your own site?

All of my work is licencsed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Basically, this boils down to: You can use, adapt, remix, or transform up my work(s) in any medium or format however you must give appropriate credit back to me (see section below on proper attribution), you may not use the work(s) for commercial purposes, and if you share an adapted, remixed, or transformed version of my work you must share it under the same license.

Attribution

While I do require attribution for my work, the best way to credit me is subjective and I trust you to choose an option that feels appropriate to you. If you are using my work on an indie web site, I recommend adding my button to your site somewhere. I've even made it easy for you to add my button to your web site as I have already written code for you to copy and paste that includes a link back to me. If you use a blinky I make, an easy way to attribute me is to wrap the blinky in an <a> tag, just like the button code above. Also, if you want to just provide my link in somewhere like a credits/links page, that is perfectly fine too! Just make sure you link to aristocratic-arietta.neocities.org and I'm happy.
